Thursday Night at the Grove

Last night, it was a great night to get away from the house after a week of staying home because of the heat; I visited a shopping center in Los Angeles called The Grove, where I attended the Gap store event to celebrate their new icon redefined collection for Fall (hosted by Hillary Kerr of WhoWhatWear).

Having some little family library fun in the Barnes and Noble (One of the world’s largest booksellers, offering an authoritative selection of titles along with nice chairs to read them on), then dinner in the California Vegan Restaurant in Hollywood was sure to make the night complete.

In Chinese: 因为天气太过炎热, 几天来一直在家当”宅女”, 昨晚天气凉快些,  全家人到了洛杉矶的The Grove (步行购物小吃区)走走, 我也顺便参加了在那里的Gap 商店举行的一场与WhoWhatWear网站的Hillary Kerr 主持的新品推荐活动.

不知道你是否知道美国的 Barnes and Noble  书店, 其为全球最大的书籍销售商, 各款书目应有尽有. 全家人随后还在书店里看看逛逛, 最后去了好莱坞的加州素食餐厅用了晚餐, 这个夜晚也算是丰盛吧!

Barnes and Nobel is one of our favorite stores in the Grove, they have such huge book selections and you would never get bored inside the store. Including a 4 year-old boy!

Barnes and Nobel 书店是在The Grove步行购物区里我们最喜欢的一家商店, 书店内书款应有尽有, 如果你有时间和精力, 在里面泡上成天都不会觉得闷的, 甚至四岁的孩子在那里也能找得到乐子哦.

J.Crew store’s window sets are always beautiful and inspired.

很喜欢看J.Crew家的橱窗摆设, 总是那么的漂亮, 也很给人搭配灵感 .

Chicken Sai Tay,dipped in peanut sauce, is Red Bear’s favorite food in the California Vegan Restaurant.

加州素食餐馆里, Red Bear最喜欢吃的, 就是泰式素鸡, 沾着花生酱吃, 总是吃着麻麻看:)

On the way home looking at the building in the last picture, I told Bob if that circle bright room on the top of the building is a restaurant, I would like to go there one day. And, with all the other amazing places in the Los Angeles area, I know the hunting for other interesting places will be endless. :)

最后一张相片是回家的路上, 看到的一座建筑,  和老公说如果楼顶那个闪亮的圆顶房间是餐馆, 想找一天去尝尝, 在高处观景洛杉矶市区一定挺美的.

其实一直有想寻遍洛杉矶各处精妙场所或餐厅, 但我想, 这样的地方一定是数之不尽的.

Thanks to Factory PR for inviting me to visit their LA showroom , and thanks to their staff — Ms.Fiana, in particular — who warmly introduced their newest collections and themselves to me. They carry so many nice brands that you might be familiar with as well: Bar III * Black Halo *  Foley + Corinna * Mango * MCM ..Etc..

P.S. While I was researching the Factory PR L.A. showroom, Red Bear was having fun with his Dad driving around doing “guy things.”  They did some shopping in Office Depot, but that’s not important. The most important thing, Red Bear got a pink lollipop to show me when they picked me up! How fun to borrow his pink lollipop later to be my prop in my outfit shoot for that day, which I will show you tomorrow. :)

P.S. 当时我在代理商的展室里转悠, Red Bear和他老爸就到处转转做”男人们的事情”了, 好象去了办公用品店买了些啥, 不过重点不是要交待这个, 而是要说当完事后Red Bear来接我的时候,  手上居然挥着粉色的棒棒糖来欢迎我, 所以当然的我后来就借了他的小粉棒棒糖做道具拍照了. 明天给你们看相片:)
