Interest

I don’t know if I ever told you, but I have only one sister, a younger one still living in China.  We look a lot alike, but we have totally different interests. She has often said: “I have no interests in anything!”..And, you know, it’s kind of true, she doesn’t have hobbies, doesn’t play sports, and so on!

But yesterday when I chat with her online she shared a picture with me, and said she was inspired by one of my looks and she was looking for a similar coat. Guess what, the one I wore today is what she is interested in. I guess she does have an interest : shopping–just like most women!

In Chinese:　不知道我是不是曾在博客里提到过，那就是我只有一个妹妹，还住在中国．我们长得还蛮象，就是爱好兴趣截然不同．妹妹经常说：＂我对任何事情都没有兴趣！＂还别说，相当正确！我这个妹妹还真没有什么爱好兴趣，不爱运动不爱Ｋ歌，什么都不喜欢！

但是昨天和她在网上聊天的时候，她给我看了一张相片，说是对我的一个搭配比较感兴趣，所以正要找一件类似的外套，就是我今天穿的这件外套．我想我的这个妹妹还是有一个爱好的－－购物！就象大多数女人一样！

Last night, we were telling Red Bear a story on bed.  It’s an every-night ritual, and the stories are always made up so that Red Bear has an adventure and ends up saving somebody or defeating some bad guys.

 Last night, in the story he caught some bank robbers and took them to jail.  At the end, Bob said,”OK, Sir Red Bear, since you saved the day and caught the bank robbers, the bank wants to give you a reward, so here is some money!”  [It was imaginary money, of course.]
Red Bear’s response was immediate and totally unexpected. He said: “No, I don’t need the reward, you can give the money to those poor kids who don’t have toys!”

We never taught him to say things like that, and that’s totally come from his own instinct, I have to say I am so proud of my son!  And we love him so much!

I wore this outfit the day we went to the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles.  Yes, we are in the process of going back to visit China!  I will be so happy to see my family and friends, and they will get to see Red Bear in person.  With the holidays and cold weather coming up, it’s hard to say exactly when we will go, but I will let you all know.
In Chinese: 昨天晚上, 与其他晚上一样, 一家人躺在床上给Red Bear讲故事, 所有的故事都是老公编的, 不是Red Bear 去冒险, 救了别人, 就是打败了一群坏蛋. 这天晚上, 老公给他讲他抓到了银行抢匪并将他们抓进监狱的故事, 最后, 老公说到:” 好了, 英雄Red Bear, 因为你帮助银行抓到了这些抢匪, 所以银行给你些奖金做为奖励!”(当然不是真的钱啊!)

Red Bear很快的就回应了, 而且他的回答真的是出乎我们的意料之外:” 不, 我不要奖金, 把这些钱给那些没有玩具的穷困的小孩子吧!”

我们之前从未有教过他说过此类的话语, 所以他说这些应该是出乎他的本能. 我不得不为自己的儿子感到骄傲, 真的是太爱太爱他了!

这套衣服是那天我们到中国驻洛杉矶领事馆办事的时候穿的. 对的啊! 我们正忙着办理中国探亲的手续! 很快就能见到在中国的亲人和朋友们并让她/他们也捏捏Red Bear, 心里很激动呢. 不过接下去又是过节又是冬天的, 所以现在回去的日期还没有定下来, 不过到时候定下来了, 一定会和大家说的!

Love Him Then Show Him

Whenever I get bored with my own wardrobe, I go to Bob’s closet to hunt and get some inspiration.  So I was happy to find this Ralph Lauren Shirt hanging in there — the color and the fabric is so nice and I just can’t help “stealing” it.

Talking about stealing, this morning, the whole family was outside in the front yard, playing with 2 new little airplane kites we just bought last night.  We were having so much fun, watching Red Bear running around with the kite in his hand, until he was really tired from all his running.  Then I tied those 2 airplane kites on one of our trees and went back to the house to get some water.  After we came back to the yard in 5 mins, one kite was gone!  There was no way that the kite could have blown away, ’cause there was nowind at all this morning [Red Bear could only "fly" his kites by runnin very fast, as soon as he slowed down, the kites came right down -- he couldn't wait for the regular afternoon breeze we get.]  Red Bear start crying and kept saying he wants the red airplane back…and this beautiful day turned out so upsetting for everybody. Feeling really terrible that there is “bad guy” around when you think you are living in the safe place!  And who steals a little boy’s little red kite?

In Chinese:

有些时候会对我自己的衣橱厌烦, 这个时候一般我就会到老公的衣橱里寻宝或者找些灵感. 当发现这件衬衣挂在那里的时候, 一阵小惊喜,这颜色和这质地, 也太正了吧! 哈哈, 真的不得不”偷”来用用.

说到倫盗. 今天早上, 全家人在前院里玩着昨晚刚刚买的两个小飞机风筝, 玩得很开心, 特别是看着小RB拿着飞机风筝在院子里跑的样子. 直到他跑累了,我就把两个小风筝绑上树枝上, 进屋里去取水喝, 5分钟后再出门, 却发现其中一个小风筝已经不翼而飞了. 这天早上根本没有一丝风, RB玩风筝的时候也只能是抓着风筝跑的，所以这风筝也是根本不可能会被风吹走的. RB开始哭嚷着要回他的小红飞机风筝..这美好的一天却变得让家里的每个人沮丧起来. 那种可怕的感觉你能理解吗? —你觉得自己呆在一个安全的地方, 但是”坏蛋” 们却无处不在.　会有什么人连小朋友的小风筝也要偷？？？？
