How exciting! Our family is heading to Honolulu, Hawaii for a family vacation tomorrow! My husband and I have been to Oahu a few times, but this will be Red Bear’s first visit, so any tips for all the new excitement and events in Honolulu would be great!!
Hawaii is one of my favorite places to visit, all those beautiful flowers and sweet pineapples pop into my mind immediately when thinking about Hawaii, not to mention the ocean smell. So fresh! It’s such a happy place!
Like many other beach destinations, Hawaii also has its own very exotic style — think lots of floral prints, bright and beautiful colors, and my husband is very happy that he found endless vegan-friendly restaurants in Honolulu. What I pack for Hawaii really is easy for me, because color and floral prints are kind of my things. And I will also bring lots of big sunglasses, beautiful hats, sunscreen, and, of course, fun beach looks.

IF you are heading to beach somewhere soon, I also have these suggestions for you.
TOTE & BAG
I am so happy that straw/woven bags are so “in” this Summer, because they are perfect for the beach, and we don’t really need to worry about sand or water get on those leather-made bags anymore! They are also perfect for a weekend bag use or for any pool side.
I am a big fan of one-piece swimsuits, but I feel I like adding something fun during my Hawaii trip — this scallop edgy bikini and bottom set. These are all beautiful, perfect for get in the water, or they can work for just strolling around simply by adding a skirt or a pair of denim shorts.
BEACH // RESORT WEAR
This trip I will leave most of big / full skirts home; not only do they have too much fabric and would take a lot of room of my luggage, but they’re too heavy for beach /resort wear, and this is purely a family fun trip — no business meetings! I like these eyelet pieces I have packed, because they look casual but pretty. And they keep me feeling cool in every way!
SUNGLASSES & HATS
You know I can’t go out without my sunglasses and hat, too. Gotta protect the eyes and skin from the sun and it’s harmful ultraviolet rays! I know I will be exposed in the sunalmost all day long in Hawaii, so I’m bringing a selection of sunglasses. I am not normally a fan of colored lens sunglasses; they just doesn’t look good on me. But, hey! They might look great in Hawaii — we’ll see!
In my Instagram, you might see me trying on a lot of fun earrings — I can’t wait to style them all! Besides the earrings, fun necklaces and bangles and statement rings all need to be strong in Hawaii! — Let’s do it!
