Yesterday we got an email from our bride-to-be niece, and she told us to pack for a bit chilly days, since they just had snow a few days ago, and in early June, temperatures there in the North Woods of Minnesota will still be around 40-degrees at night, with a daytime high of no more than 60-degrees! Shocking for my Southern California-acclimated system!
Of course, wearing a summer dress to my niece’s wedding, I would risk freezing or suffering the return of my recent bad cough — which I’ve had for about a month already.
So I have just created my new wedding guest outfit, adding a jacket as a necessity, and a maxi/over the knee dress that can be a handy thing for wearing warm leggings/tights under. 
In Chinese: 昨晚收到即将成为新娘的侄女的来信, 说是让我们准备行李的时候, 尽量准备些天气较凉时候的衣物. 她说她们明尼苏达州的那个地区前几天还在下雪, 而六月初的气温也大概只有10来度. 对在南加州温暖气候生活多年的我, 真不知道是不是能适应呢.
可想而知, 如果参加婚礼的时候只穿条单裙, 一定还蛮冷的, 说不定又把我刚刚好的咳嗽又搬回来了.(话说已经咳嗽了近一个月, 日咳夜咳, 痛苦死…)
所以今天重新又制定了一个参加婚礼的着装方案, 加件夹克是必须的. 选择一条过膝的长裙, 里面可以偷偷穿条打底裤什么的. 嘻嘻.
